Through a process of structured meditations on potent spiritual phrases, students will be exposed to the internal spiritual development of Jacob’s Ladder. This course will be taught in conjunction with a development circle of healing and spiritual unfoldment geared towards reaching the higher spiritual realms.
“The story of Jacob's Ladder is an ancient allegorical biblical tale, describing the alchemical process of reaching complete Gnosis, or what some may call Sainthood, Buddhahood or enlightenment. This discussion will be led by Stephen Leslie who has meditated daily for fifty years. He was trained by a yogi from the Himalayan mountains. He was a church administrator for fourteen years, a mental health counselor, and eventually ended up as a hospice chaplain. He has a M.S. in Economic Education from Johns Hopkins and a M.S. in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola College. He is a published poet and writer. On numerous occasions he was a featured speaker on The Moth Storytelling Hour sponsored by National Public Radio.

Utilizing chair dance for this meditation movement workshop, we will allow motivational music and movement to inspire us. After a short, full body, warm up the group will learn simple choreography, while having fun and allow the spirit of dance and music to move us. No previous dance experience is necessary.
Claudia DeVita is a graduate of the Hartford Conservatory of Music and Dance and following graduation in 1972 she opened Allegra Dance Studio on West Putnam Avenue in Greenwich. Allegra Dance was the premier dance studio in Fairfield County boasting staff of 15 top professionals in their fields and training 500 dancers weekly in classical ballet, modern dance, jazz, hip-hop and tap.

VIRTUAL WORKSHOP WITH U.K. MEDIUM ELAINE SOMERVILLE

Elaine was aware of spirit from a very early age and always felt different to others. She would find herself in situations or places that were quite spooky to others. Paranormal activities would happen around her tv’s turning on and off, ghostly apparitions would appear, items flying round corners and a host more. She had an innate way of saying things then find they would come true…she would be surprised at first, but then took them in her stride at times not daring to speak in case it came true! She first visited a spiritualist church at 14, she’d heard about them from her maternal grandma but was always told she was too young. Her first visit really had her hooked as she would go back time after time to see if she could see who was relating all this info to the medium and wonder how she had known some of what they said before she said it. Elaine went on to meet her late husband Peter and she put her time into raising and caring for her children, Alex and Nathan, but she still visited spiritualist churches as she loved to listen to the philosophy and was always happy to see people receiving messages from loved ones.
