Our beautiful Reverend Lelia Cutler, NST transitioned to Spirit last evening August 20, 2025
Reverend Cutler supported and served our Church for decades. She always had a special place in her heart for our congregation, and her presence was always heartwarming and spiritually insightful. As an Examiner for the Morris Pratt Institute, the educational organization for Ordination as a Minister of Spiritualism, she was the Examiner of many of our current Ministers. Her knowledge, love and insight on Spiritualism was instrumental in guiding and supporting those who serve this Church. She served as President of the National Spiritualist Association of Churches (NSAC) for 9 years and served on the NSAC Board of Trustees for 19 years where she held the position of NSAC Treasurer for ten (10) years. She was a guiding light for Spiritualism at the national level. She held the credentials of Certified Medium and National Spiritualist Teacher. She was a well-known teacher, speaker and medium for the religion, science and philosophy of Spiritualism and was active in the NSAC for over 40 years. She often gave the “Introduction to Spiritualism" class for our Center. Nationally, she taught classes in Meditation, Mediumship and a series of classes on Comparative Religion, Healing, Symbolism, Spiritual Regression and Biblical Spirituality. A singer and retired banker, she taught at Tidewater Community College for over 20 years. Lelia was a true expression for the Joy of Spiritualism even in her advanced years she had a youthful glow and exuberance.
